How do I book my flooring in with you?

Do you open on Sundays?
We are not open on Sundays unfortunately. Our opening hours are Monday- Friday 9am-5:30pm and Saturdays open from 9am-4:30pm.
Do AST do laminate flooring?
Yes we do! We also have LVT. Downstairs is where you will find our stocked hard flooring products but if you head up stairs we have an extensive display of designs and products we can order in for you. On top of all that we can provide fitting too if required!
How do I clean my carpet?
Please call or talk in person to our staff for this one. Different carpets have very different care procedures.
How long will I be waiting for my carpet?
Carpets available from stock can be fitted usually within a couple of days excluding weekends, bank holidays, etc. It is not unheard of for us to fit stock carpets on the same day. Special order in carpets will take a little longer. To book a fitting space we will need a 20% deposit.
How do I measure stairs?
You don’t have to!We will do this for you, as we offer a free estimating service on all carpets supplied and fitted by ourselves. We can even bring the samples with us!
Do I need new underlay with new carpet?
We always recommend our floorcovering to be fitted to British standards which means new underlay where possible, however we have a large selection of carpets with built in felt backing, which can be laid with or without underlay.
Can you fit vinyl over ceramic tiles?
We always recommend our floorcovering to be fitted to British standards, which would involve the uplifting of the old tiles. It is possible to fit on top of existing ceramic tiles but in time the joints will show through the vinyl. Vinyl is best laid on a smooth hard floor.
Do I need to remove all my furniture?
There is no additional cost to move furniture. We suggest you move any delicate or valuable items that may become in the way of the carpet. Anything left in the room is at your own risk.
Are there any additional charges other than my carpet and fitting?
When having any flooring fitted by ourselves, we do not make any additional charges for door strips, door bars, or spray glue. If you’re having underlay, we do not make any additional charges for the grippers. Any other extra charges only apply to; door trimming, removal and disposal of old flooring, and an additional cost to our fitters travelling outside the Telford area.
Will you fit any carpet?
We only fit carpet supplied by AST unfortunately. Our carpet binding service however, extends to any brand new carpet.
